Are you a new graduate of a
Podiatric College or a Podiatric residency program?
Now that
You have spent countless hours and dollars in learning the profession of a Podiatric
Physician and Surgeon; ARE YOU now ready to start making a
living?
Here are a few questions to ask
yourself:
IS IT POSSIBLE TO MAKE A DECENT
LIVING?
Should you set up your
own practice or work as a hired hand?
Why are other DPMs
hiring?
Would you like to do what
you think is right for your patients OR do what the "Corporation" thinks is
right?
Do YOU want to make a
living OR do you want to do it for the "Corporation"?
How do you select a
location for your practice?
What equipment should you
buy?
What supplies should you
buy?
Should you buy sterile
disposables or sterilize your own?
What can you sterilize?
Should you do surgery in
office?
What procedures can you
do in your office?
Should you buy an
automatic x-rays processor or can you do without?
should you make your own
orthotics or send them to a lab?
Can you sell some
supplies to patients or send them to the local pharmacy?
What stationary should
you have?
Should you advertise?
How should you advertise?
How should you setup
appointments for your patients?
Should you buy a computer
right away?
What software should you
buy?
Should you buy the office
building or lease one?
How many people do you
need to hire?
How to do the insurance
billing?
How much money are you
going to need to survive in practice?
If you have not answered most of the above
questions, you are not prepared for the real world. After all the money and time and
energy you have spent in becoming a DPM, you could be lacking the most critical skills
needed to make a decent living. How do I know? I have been there and done
that. And I can help you in saving you a lot of costly mistakes, headaches, and help
you minimize stress and ultimately provide the best care, you can, for your
patients. I can show you the way where you would not have to worry about making a
living, as long as you can do what you have been trained to do. You come to me with
your "reasonable" objectives and I can help you achieve them and do better.
